Rainbow Painter
I've had this "alias" name Rainbow Painter for sometime. Way before I ever got connected to the internet highway. I'd like to share with you a moment in time with a bit of reflection.
I enjoyed having philosophical and deep meaningful conversations with my dad and I knew he was searching for answers to questions that really can't be answered other than by what one believes to be the answer from their heart of faith.
So one afternoon, he was sitting in his chair with his fingertips touching each other, as in a meditative form, and he was gazing out his solid wall of window overlooking his pasture land with grazing cattle and enjoying the sunshine filling up the room. His brow was furrowed and his eyes were squinting as if his mind was processing the many thoughts of unanswered questions.
He asked me to sit down with him and talk to him about some of his wanderings. So I get settled in the chair and I focus on his face noticing that he was being very serious. He asked me what I thought about where or what I would be doing after I leave this world. Well, I sure didn't have to think to much about it to offer him my perspective on the subject being the "unique" one of the family, so to speak.
I stood up and I smiled at him and told him that I was going to help God paint rainbows in the sky because I can't imagine doing anything else but painting since that's my passion in this world so I must be "in training" for when I get to heaven. He smiled and threw his head back as he laughed and then said that I was his "Rainbow Painter". I'll never forget that moment and many more like them that we shared. I miss him a lot but I know his spirit is all around me. He left this world 6 months ago.
I'm still working my way back to where I came from and I'll be painting rainbows when I get there.

Well Rainbow Painter-
I told my dear dad that I was a Rebel- and he replied "You take after me".
I told him I was tired of prejudice - stereotyping - and unjustices because of "ethnic/religious differences.
He said "take a stand- be the rainbow warrior your forfathers expect YOU to be, unite the 4 corners- restore balance- be free".
I listened...
They are both gone from this realm- but they both stand proud and tall besides US- in spirit- and they give us the Strength to KEEP the "rainbows" always floating...
weather painting them- or mixing the colors -
The RainBows Will Never Fade.
I tell you what...
YOU...
Keep Painting Rainbows -
And I
shall paste them all together...
What A Lovely Murial!!!!
Love Ya...
(I'm off to ride another rainbow!)
