My Highest Yield of Interest of My Investments

50 years and this is not where I thought I would be when
I embarked on my rite of passage into the world of adulthood.
A half of a century!



So what do I have to show for 50 years of my life?

Do I have a wonderful home to call my own?
No, I have the opportunity to live on a farm in lovely home
in which I grew up in that belongs to my parents
and share the final days of my mother's life with her.
It’s my safe haven, my foundation, my roots.



So do I have a wonderful pension from a “great job”
to live off of when I retire?
You bet I do!!!
I have my skills
as a wife and mother,
and a care giver,
a homemaker,
a gardener,
a cook,
an open heart
and a creative mind
to get me through this day, today.

Do I dream of “what if’s” and “I should have’s” with regrets?
No, because those are yesterday’s problems
dissolved and they no longer exist.


Do I still have desires of my future?
Of course I do, but I know they will change as I jump the hurdles of time
And take different paths along my journey.

So what do I have to show for 50 years of life?



I have a lifetime of many colors wrapping around my heart and soul.
Can I invest those colors with a high yield interest?
I have the most wonderful and highest yield of my colors.
I deposit them into the hands of God and
my Holy Spirit helps me count my many blessings.
